October 14, live on Zoom
4 - 5 pm eastern
We’re making 5x7 postcards of faces, and the goal is to make each other laugh. Mismatched eyes. A nose that belongs to someone else entirely. Hair made of fabric scraps. You’ll cut, arrange, rearrange, and glue, and in sixty minutes you’ll have a small stack of ridiculous portraits that are genuinely your own.

This is a beginner-friendly, one-hour online collage workshop. No drawing skill, no sewing, and no special supplies required.
Somewhere along the way, making art started feeling like a test. There’s a right way to do it, and a wrong way, and a voice in your head keeping score. This hour is not that.
Lyric will guide you through options for cutting shapes and placing them as you let loose and have fun making the silliest cartoon faces you can.
Along the way you’ll pick up a few things about how a face reads, how small shifts change an expression, and how much a composition can take before it falls apart. But mostly you’ll be laughing, which is the point.
