Students will create a small fabric collage on batting, learn a few stitching and beading techniques, and come home with a small art-quilt. Lyric will demonstrate several different framing possiblilites and
students will either mat and frame or mount their work on plexiglass.

Supplies: Fabric scissors Small shallow bowl or container to keep beads in (“Altoid” type tins work well) Rubber finger (optional - to help pull your needles... from an office supply store)
$10.00 supply fee that includes all framing materials. Lamp or Magnifying lamp (optional)

Buy a kit from me ($25) There is no need to reserve a kit, Lyric will bring plenty for everyone who wants one.
OR bring the following:
- seed beads: 1 tube each of three different colors
- bugle beads: 1 tube of one color
- large button (with holes - no shank) or donut shaped bead or stone.
- 8x10 piece of background fabric
- fabric scraps
- long applique needle size 11 (I prefer foxglove cottage straw needles)
- batting, 8x10”
- wonder-under, 1/2 yd”
- fabric for back of quilt, 8x10”
- nymo or sylamide beading thread: black, white, medium gray or tan
- embroidery thread and needles

Classroom Requirements: One iron and board per five students. Three sewing machines, straight stitch, black thread in top and bobbin. A screen or wall on which to project demonstrations.
