Make a lovely art-quilt while learning this low-tech method for transferring photocopies onto fabric. While you ink in some color, stitch, and bead, Lyric will demonstrate and compare various ink-jet products so that you know what your high-tech options entail.

Students will learn to transfer photocopies onto fabric and will also review bubble-jet-set and various ready-to-print products. Students will make a small art quilt and learn a variety of finishing and embellishing techniques.

Supplies:

  • Fabric scissors, paper scissors, paper, pencil
  • 8x10 piece of glass with edges taped for safety
  • $10.00 supply fee (whether you buy a kti or not)

Buy a Kit from Lyric ($25) no need to reserve a kit in advance
OR Bring the Following:

  • Fat quarter or 9”x12” batting and muslin
  • Fat quarter or 9” x 12” fabric for backing
  • Fabric scraps, lace scraps
  • Embroidery threads and needles
  • 1/2 yard fusible web such as misty fuse or Wonder-Under
  • Embellishments such as beads, charms, fun threads, etc.”
