Artist’s Statement
Another time.
Another world.
Ruins.
Silken wall holding back the sea.

Many different techniques were employed in the creation of this piece. Hand dyed fabric was pieced, quilted, layered with a synthetic sheer then melted to partially reveal the bottom layer. The “lettering” was painted with a hand-carved stamp then highlighted with metallic foil. Finally, beads were added.
