Installations

In 2003 the Craft Center Gallery at North Carolina State University showed Reflections and Altered Surfaces. In the background above (from left to right) you can see Spill, Three Rings, Three Stonesand Gold Leaf. Oak Tunic is in the foreground. The first three are mounted on plexiglass. For instructions on mounting fiber art on plexiglass, visit Melody Johnson’s blog.

In the foreground is Hydrangea. Two pieces of art-cloth that have been dyed, discharged and printed multiple times. It was lovely to see the light shine through the cloth and see it wave very gently when the air conditioning came on. In the background is Mill Wheels. The effect of hanging the piece about a foot from the wall was beautiful.
