- artwork in hand, buy a gallery wrapped canvas.
- paint, collage, or print, to your hearts content to complement your artwork.
- you could even just wrap the canvas in cloth if you’d like. (in that case it would be easier to sew the artwork to the cloth and then wrap and tack the fabric to the canvas or stretcher bars.)

- pin your work where you would like it to be.
|

- sew your artwork to the canvas.
- a thimble to push and rubber finger to pull are helpful.
- this is easiest with a bound or stitched border that you can sew through rather than having to just catch the back edge of the fiber piece.

|
- use short lengths of thread doubled.
- when you still have a good bit of thread left on the needle cut the needle off and tie the ends in several square knots.

|
 |
|
- install your hanging hardware.
|
|
|
|
|
 |
|
- tape the ends of your picture wire...they’re sharp!
|
|
|
|
|
 |
|
- further embellish your canvas to complement your fiber art if you so desire.
- this example uses a Sharpie to extend the quilting lines over the edges of the canvas.
